This is Ashton's first trip to the dentist...Dr. Webb and staff were awesome!!! I wasn't able to go, so Matt recorded a few parts of the appointment. It was so cool, b/c Ash was excited... he told me all about the chair that "went way up high" and his "ring" with the "cleaning stuff." He also informed me that he has 20 teeth, and loves the Mcqueen toothbrush and stickers that he got.

I am so grateful that his dentist experience was so good...it means a lot.

I can not get this kid to take a picture with out the red-eye... then in pictures that are close-ups, like this... if I use editing they just come out black, and it looks spooky.

Hanging out in the buff'... well sort of. It is easier to keep Ethan in no clothes while we are at home. Ashton wanted to do the same...why not?

I found these non-toxic, water based paints at Micheals for a great deal.

Ashton didn't want his carrots cooked for dinner...
I didn't mind since I am not a big fan of cooked carrots anyway!!!

We went to the farmer's market, and Ash really wanted to go down that slide... let's just say it was worth the $4. He slept so good that night.:)

It has been a long process... but amazing. Matt is finally in his new office with Edward Jones up in Paradise as a Financial Advisor... What a great company. We are so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait for the journey... Just a few pics of the office.

After a fun filled weekend at Auntie Allie's and Uncle Josh, Echo was so worn out from playing with Miki and Tux... I trusted Ehtan to lay with him... once in a life time thing that is for sure...
Ash-man with Nana in Tahoe...it was so windy that day. But fun!!!
He loves his spiderman and 3-wheeler!!!
Matt's company had a summer regional conference in Tahoe this weekend... very fun. They had great food, and had us stay in a really nice hotel. It was so great meeting all the people that he works with... they were awesome!!!

While daddy was in meetings we went to this park on the beach... how beautiful. It was a perfect day!!! Ashton even was brave enough to go in the water. Good thing we drove, because he was soaking wet, and that would have been a long walk back to the hotel.

So there was daycare while we were in meetings... when I came to get hime he was getting his face painted... I asked him... "Ash, what's up with the pink butterfly?" He told me, "Because I do's!!!" Okay... whatever little man. I asked if he wanted a spider... so we got that too.

Let's just say, Ashton wanted to pour his cereal all by himself... whoops... should have seen that one coming... It was fun having Jerimiah for the weekend... they played great together!!! Uncle Matt/Daddy with the kids at one mile... that is such a great place... it was super hot.

Ethan and I were just chillin' on the sidelines... Ash came to give us hugs to cool us off... I loved it, Ethan was not a big fan...

Ashton fell asleep on the couch as I was making dinner. This is how I found him... shirt off and half way off the couch. It was 6:30pm. I put him in bed and he woke up around 11... mommy... I am hungry. After he ate dinner he went right back to sleep and slept until morning... Wow!!! When do I get to sleep for that long??? Oh, right. Never.

It was a fun day at Collins' Lake... thanks so much for the invite... and the ribs. It was a great day. The water was a little cold, but the kids didn't mind. So much fun!!!

Ethan Matthew Havens arrived May 22, 2009 at 6:19pm.... It was a fast delivery... thank goodness for that. Everything went well. He was 8lbs and 1/2 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.

We are at the Monster Truck Race In Redding watching Ashton's Uncle J.P (Matt's older brother) race his tuff truck... very fun.

Hello Friends and Family,

I have been asked and well... critisized for being a lazy blogger... ouch. So I need to get on it basically. Here are some of the latest pic. and news. First we have moved back to Chico. It is great being back. I am still working in the bay area until I find work here... Ashton is now 2 1/2 and we are loving every minute of this time (although difficult they are like little sponges at this age, and it is amazing to watch him grow) What else, Matt is working for a company called Trividia here in Chico, we have a new puppy... yes he is way more work than any toddler, but he is Ashton's buddy and is so cute.... that's is the newest news.

Tonight we had a blast playing Nertz (I hope that I spelled that right) at Nick and Angelee's. It was good to see friends that we haven't seen in a while, and friends that we see often.

...I won't go into a lot of detail, because it would take me forever to catch up, so here are some pics.... I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving....

We had a great weekend with Rob, Rae and Owen coming down and visiting us. Thanks guys. Check out thier blog for some super cute pics. Unfortunatly our camera was not wanting to work that day...oh well. Even now these pics below have a green tint to them. Not quite sure why.

So this is the first time that Ash has ever fallen asleep on his own... just because he was tired. (Besides the car or us putting him into bed) Matt and I were in shock. We took pics, and a little video. He must ahve been super tired. Funny guy.

Not so happy about the flash when we took the pictures. We put him in bed and he slept for another 4 hours!!!! Lets just say he din't go to bed, bed, until 10:00. Well at least he was in a good mood.

Oakland Zoo

Last week grandpa Kevin played hookie and we got to go to the Oakland Zoo. Ashton had a blast looking at all the animals. I bet that we could have stayed there all day. It was as if he wasn't even bored just standing there looking at the elephants doing... nothing really. (well at first anyway) This monkey...(?) was just sitting there. Then all of a sudden it threw it's baby.... we and the other people standing there gasped in shock... it was just her dolly (whew!!!)
As you can see a quick photo op on the red frog.... they were so real looking...except for the size of course.
When we first walked into the park, Ashton ran up and yelled "DUCKS!" It was so cute. We had to tell him that they weren't ducks. Sorry. They were flamingos...but they kind of look like ducks huh?
Don't worry folks.... this tiger was secure in his cage and there were no idiots taunting him. Isn't he beautiful. WOW!
Cool giraffes. The baby was super cute too.
And now for the train ride. It wasn't as fun as he thought it was going to be. After coming back from the elephants, we thought we'd go look at the aligators... but as soon as Ashton heard we were going to go on the train, he was all over that. Then as soon as we got on... well lets just say it wasn't as cool as the "ducks." Grandpa and Great-Grandpa had a blast.
Thanks for taking us to the zoo. We had a blast.

Hair Cut day.....

Here is the before. He wasn't super excited about me taking his picture. I asked him to point to his nose, well it looks as if his finger is going up it. Here, we are up in P-Town. How cool is the snow. Ha Ha!!! This was his first time seeing... touching. We didn't play in it too long, because I didn't bring the right clothes. How cool is this stuff!

I love this picture of Grandma Dolly and Ash. Perfect. And here is the after haircut photo. It was a fun... long day. We went to lunch, wen to the dr., hung out with some friends.... busy, busy.

We were able to have lunch in Lafayette with my mom and dad. Their favorite chinese place...Yan's. So good. I love thier lemon chicken. Ahston loves this one fish plate in a black bean sauce. Then that night....we got to cheer on the bears. So much fun. They played Stanford this night. It was kind of a bummer because they lost (CAL) but it was still a great game. There were so many people....

Watch out Ash... don't go over the edge. Now I know why my mom said that I always "aged" her.
It was super loud. Even though it was fun listening to band we a few laughs as Ash covered his ears.

Ashton loves playing the guitar with his Daddy. It's really cool. He will sit there with him and strum along and even bust out singing. It just makes us laugh. After a long hard night.... of trying to escape, I guess, he finally fell asleep. It was hilarious because when we went in there to check on him, this is how we found him. What was even more funny was that his legs were really wedged in between the bars. Luckily he was so out he didn't wake up...that was a close one.

Sunny Days at the Beach

It was an amazing weekend. Not only did we get to go to the beach in January but it was beautiful. The water was still freezing but so nice. Ashton loves playing in the sand, and running from the waves as they come up onto the shore.

It was so much fun seeing Matt and Ashton
hanging out. It is moments like these that makes it all worth it.

Below, the ASh-MAN took a nose dive into the puddle. It was hilarious. It didn't phase him though. He was back in action only a few seconds later.

After a very cold shower... sorry baby... we put on some comfortable clothes, and we had to warm up some how... So I was the tickle monster for a short while. We love his laugh. It just makes you melt.

Fun Days

We do everything to try and keep this kid busy... who knew putting stickers on his face would be so much fun.The Ash-Man hasn't had a cupcake since he turned one. Well we decided to spoil him a little.

He loved it.

Okay... this kid hates taking a nap. But on this particular day wanted in... to play. He kept asking for "My ball." "My ball" Until they were all in there with him. Cute.

Save the Starfish

Koda Comes for a Visit

During Koda's visit we were blessed with one day of nice weather. Although it was still freezing cold... there was no rain, and the sun was out. We took a little road trip to Capitola to see the beach... then we drove to UC Santa Cruz. What a beautiful campus.Ashton hanging out in the stroller enjoying the sun.

Koda came to visit us for a few days. It was great. We went out to dinner to celebrateGrandpa David's 88th birthday. Matt had the best dinner... then Papa... and Koda came in 3rd.

Our Bloggn' Begins

Our blog begins with a few pics of Chrismas.
What a great time of year. And it is even more great with a babe. We had our own Christmas at the apartment. What fun! Ashton really enjoyed opening his presents, having a Christmas breakfast... then playing with his presents. We then went up to Oroville to see family and friends. After a great Christmas Eve party at the Vance's, we hung out with friends. There are no pictures of this because I didn't take any... oops.

New Year's was a blast... I think the kids had fun, running around 'till 12:30 in the morning. Thanks to Jed and Tiff for throwing a great bash.
